Matiri Community Fund 2024

Applications have now closed for the 2024 Matiri Community Fund.

Applicants will receive notification shortly.

Pioneer Energy Renewables operates the Matiri Hydro Scheme near the Murchison area. As a part of the project development, a number of contractors pledged to contribute to a community fund. The fund is now being continued by Pioneer Energy Renewables and aims to benefit the wider Murchison community.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for funding your organisation will be involved in one of the following areas:

Health
Education
Sport
Volunteer Services

The purpose of the application will benefit those within the wider Murchison community.

Application Process

Applications close on 31 July 2024.

The applications will be considered by the Pioneer Energy Renewables Senior Leadership Team.

Supporting evidence and/or documents will be considered during the funding process.

Please answer the questions as fully as possible as further correspondence will not be entered into at this stage.

All successful applicants will be notified by early September 2024.

Matiri Community Fund History

The Matiri Hydro Scheme was constructed by Pioneer Energy and sold to Southern Generation Limited Partnership once commissioned in 2020.

Following commissioning, a fund was set up by Pioneer Energy and the following contractors involved in the development, to benefit the wider Murchison Community:
